March 19 – A response to the “REAL” world! (Sears Home 6:30 pm)
- 6:30 – 6:45 Grab dinner and begin meeting
- 6:45 Pray over our time
- Discuss Agenda For Trip
Go over nearing deadlines Passports turned in by March 23rd at latest
- Have letter ready to send my March 23rd. Show sample letter. It will be on the website tonight.
- Call doctor or travel clinic about immunizations March 30th
- Brainstorm a plan for developing our gifts – develop teams – brainstorm as a team and set a time to meet at school between now and our next meeting. (music, art, language training, logistics/helps, video, programming)

The steps in my experience as I have Responded to “Real Life” over the past year
1. Have the courage to encounter the reality of suffering in the world.
Micah 6:8 O man what does the Lord require of you…. To do justly, to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
2. Empathize/compassion …. Come close to the suffering of others and feel the pain with them.
Luke 10 – What was the first thing the Samaritan did that was different from those who did not respond?
3. I asked the question… What can I do? It is tempting to jump to solutions.
4. Seek Christ’s strength. It is through his power and strength that we can respond with the right approach, heart, and attitude.
5. Surrender your gift. Offer your lunch. Out of our weakness and inadequacies we offer what we have. Humility is key… this is not about us.
6. Praise him for the miracle….
